Glucosamine – According to studies, Glucosamine is a compound found naturally in the body, made from glucose and the amino acid glutamine. Glucosamine is needed to produce glycosaminoglycan, a molecule used in the formation and repair of cartilage and other body tissues. Production of glucosamine slows down as we age.

Glucosamine and Chondroitin – Research suggests that Glucosamine and Chondroitin are two molecules that make up the type of cartilage found within joints. Inside your joints, cartilage undergoes a constant process of breakdown and repair. However, to be properly repaired, the building blocks of cartilage must be present and available. The theory behind using the glucosamine and chondroitin joint supplements is that more of the cartilage building blocks will be available for cartilage repair. Glucosamine may stimulate production of cartilage-building proteins while chondroitin may inhibit production of cartilage-destroying enzymes and fight inflammation too.

What is the recommended dosage of this supplement?

• Take 1 capsule at least 2-3 times a day before each meal. Best taken with warm water. Or take GlucoMax as prescribed by your doctor.

What if you missed a dosage?

• If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume to the usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to make up for the missed dose.
